Challenged with “GO”

Pastor Cashwell started off the Calvary Missions Conference speaking about Matthew 28: 16-20 and The Great Commission.

“16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
The command to “GO” is for all Christians, believers on mission in their home country and believers sent out. We are all to “GO.”

Today was yet another reminder that, for me, “GO” means to Columbia SC.  For this season in life, “GO” means to stay.  For now, “GO” equals meeting my neighbors.  Matthew 22 says “37 And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.38This is the great and first commandment.39And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Yes, “GO” means to go to my physical neighbors who live next door and also to the foreign neighbors I share this world with. “GOing” is an act most loving and most kind.
For today, I will “GO” only to stay.
